Everything we can arrange for you

Eight kinds of travel, from the airport pick-up that starts your trip to the safari, the train ride and the stretch of coast in the middle of it. Take one, or let us thread several of them into a single route.

What we do

Services for every part of a Sri Lankan trip

We are a small operation, so each of these is run by people who know the roads, the seasons and the places. Jump to whichever one you came for.

01 — Arrivals

Airport pick-up and drop-off

Someone waiting when you land, and a vehicle back to the airport when you leave. It is the simplest thing we do and the one that sets the tone for the rest of the trip — no haggling at the terminal door after a long flight.

  • Hotel transfers
  • Late and early flights

02 — Heritage

Cultural and historical tours

The ancient cities and the living traditions around them: the rock fortress at Sigiriya, the cave temples at Dambulla, the ruins of Polonnaruwa and the temple and lake at Kandy. We keep the walking early, before the heat.

03 — Wildlife

Wildlife safaris and village experiences

Early starts in the national parks — Yala is the one most travellers ask for — and the quieter half of the day spent in a village, seeing how people live and eat outside the tourist towns.

An honest word: wild animals are wild. We will get you to the right place at the right time of day with someone who knows the park, but no one can promise you a leopard.

04 — Highlands

Hill country and scenic tours

Tea country around Nuwara Eliya, the plantation roads that climb into it, the train journey through the hills, and Ella at the other end — viewpoints, waterfalls and cooler air after the lowlands.

05 — Coast

Beach and coastal tours

The south around Mirissa, the walled fort and ramparts at Galle, and the bays near Trincomalee on the north-east side of the island. Which coast is best depends on the month you travel — we will tell you which one is in season.

06 — Adventure

Adventure tours

Hiking and camping for travellers who would rather be outside than in a hotel lobby — trails in the hills, nights under canvas, and days built around walking rather than driving.

  • Hiking
  • Camping

07 — Two wheels

Motorcycle tours

For riders, the island is the attraction: hill roads, coast roads and back roads between villages. We plan the route and the overnight stops so the riding stays the point of the day.

08 — Getting around

Custom transport and travel guidance

A private vehicle with your own driver-guide for as long as you need it, plus the advice that comes with it — what is worth the detour, what to skip, how long a road really takes, and what the weather usually does in the region you are heading for.

  1. These rates are for complete round tours that start at your chosen pickup point and finish at the same place or at Colombo airport.
  2. The daily rate covers the whole length of the tour, including leisure or rest days when the vehicle and driver stay with you.
  3. We cannot offer split tours or separate travel legs at these rates. If a tour is divided into sections, the same vehicle and driver cannot be guaranteed for the whole journey.
  4. If you have a different itinerary in mind, contact us and we will put together a separate quotation.

Where we travel

The places these tours visit

Most of our routes are drawn from these twelve. If somewhere you have read about is missing, ask — we will tell you honestly whether it is worth the drive.

Put it together

Pick the parts you want. We will join them up.

Two safaris and a week on the coast, or a cultural route with one long walk in the middle — there is no fixed menu. Send us the list and we will turn it into a workable itinerary with a quotation.
